They also help to break down the waste that is present in your aquarium from uneaten food and fish waste.
Many aquatic plants can provide a hiding place for smaller fish as well as somewhere to graze. Eating plants can aid the prevention of constipation and swim bladder disorders. Plants in the aquarium are especially beneficial as they provide a constant food source for herbivous fish that require frequent feeding.
